Creating spaces for listening, support and care is also a way of healing.
At RANA, we work to ensure that adults living with the consequences of sexual abuse experienced during childhood or adolescence can find a safe place where they can be heard and supported, thanks to the support of Fundación La Caixa and CaixaBank.
But we also need other spaces: spaces to talk, listen, reflect and ask ourselves what we can do as a society in the face of a reality that still needs to be brought to light.
That is why, on 15 October, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at CaixaForum Palma, we will meet with Fabiola Martínez, author of “Cuando el silencio no es una opción: lo que nunca conté”.
Drawing on her own experience, she will join us for an afternoon of conversation and reflection. A space to put into words what so often remains unspoken, to listen and to open up questions that we need to ask ourselves as a society.
Because talking can also be a way of supporting others. And listening can also be a way of caring.
